More Than Asanas

More Than Asanas is the yoga program inside Beyond Maya mentorship, with guided yoga nidra, sankalpa, meditation, kundalini and chakra work.

Most people meet yoga as a workout. The postures, the asanas, are one small part of a much older tradition whose real subject is the mind: how attention works, how a resolve takes root, and how the self you believe in shapes the life you live. More Than Asanas teaches that older yoga, and it’s part of mentorship.

What More Than Asanas is

More Than Asanas is the yoga track of the Beyond Maya programs. It isn’t sold separately. It runs inside both Beyond Maya Private Mentorship and The Beyond Maya Circle, alongside the identity work those programs are built on.

The free yoga guides on this site explain what each practice is, where it comes from, what research has found and who should be careful. They don’t teach the practices themselves, because a page can’t see how you’re responding and a guide can. Inside More Than Asanas you learn them with guidance.

What it covers

  • Yoga nidra. Guided yogic sleep, taught in stages, with a resolve made at the point where the mind is most receptive.
  • Sankalpa. How to find and phrase a resolve that points the whole of your life in one direction, rather than fighting a single habit.
  • Meditation. Foundations in inner silence and witnessing the mind, built up gradually.
  • Kundalini and chakra foundations. The preparation and lifestyle the tradition insists on, taught slowly and with readiness checks before anything advanced.

Each module comes with a guided session, a worksheet and a practice tracker, and you go through it with me or with the Circle.

How it connects to identity work

The yoga tradition and the identity work taught here say the same thing in different words. Yoga calls the world we mistake for reality maya. Identity work says your life follows the self you hold. In both, the change comes from seeing through a picture you didn’t know you were living inside. Yoga practice gives that work a body, a breath and a daily rhythm.

Who it’s for, and who should wait

It suits people who want a steady inner practice to anchor deeper change, and people who already practise yoga and want the part that never made it into class.

Some practices aren’t right for everyone. Each module starts with a readiness check. If you live with psychosis, dissociation, active trauma symptoms or a serious medical condition, we’ll talk about whether to begin, and you may be asked to work with a licensed professional first.

More Than Asanas is spiritual and personal development coaching. It isn't medical treatment or therapy, and results differ from person to person. Talk to a qualified health professional before starting a new practice, especially if you have a physical or mental health condition.
